Day 1: Lima
Your first day in Lima, you’ll get to know your travel group, see downtown Lima and have time to enjoy dinner out on your own.
Day 2: Lima to Cusco
After arriving in Cusco, you’ll enjoy local cuisine and head on over to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit Chinchero for a traditional textile demonstration and shop around before heading to the hotel in Urubamba.
Day 3: Sacred Valley
Experience a day in the life of the Quechua, including a home-hosted lunch and visits to the local market. You’ll also have access to a local gold and silver smith workshop.
Day 4: Machu Picchu
Observe the best view of the Fortress of Ollantaytambo and head out on a guided visit of Machu Picchu.
Day 5: Machu Picchu to Cusco
Explore on your own or take a hike at Machu Picchu before hopping on the train back to Cusco.
Day 6: Cusco
Take a step into history during your walking tour of Cusco.
Day 7: Cusco
Spend another day in Cusco visiting Sacsaywaman, a citadel just north of Cusco, and Q’enqo, an archeological site in the Sacred Valley.
Day 8: Cusco to Puerto Maldonado
Start the morning flying into Puerto Maldonado, where you’ll eat a rich lunch and prepare for your walk through the Amazon Rainforest and spot local fauna.
Day 9: Puerto Maldonado Amazon Rainforest Lodge
Dive into a full-day, Sandoval Lake excursion before enjoying dinner back at the lodge.
Day 10: Puerto Maldonado to Lima
On your second-to-last day, fuel up on breakfast and soak up your final morning at your Puerto Maldonado lodge before heading to the airport for assistance to the international departure lounge for your flight back to Lima.
Day 11: Lima
After your morning flight to Lima, you’ll arrive at the hotel, take the afternoon for yourself, and then say goodbye at a local farewell dinner. Then, you’ll be back on your way home.
